POSITION: Project Coordinator II
DEPARTMENT : FM-PRO Planning & Integration, University Health Network (UHN)
SITE: 67 College Street (Supporting multiple UHN sites)
REPORTS TO: Manager, Planning & Integration
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week
STATUS: Permanent Full-Time

As an integral member of the FM-PRO Planning and Integration team, the PROJECT COORDINATOR II will assist with the organization and implementation of multiple / simultaneous projects varying from planning, design, construction, furniture and relocation projects, under the direction of the Manager, Planning & Integration or designate. The principle responsibilities include: coordinating and implementing strategies to facilitate cost effective and timely execution of multiple, simultaneous projects for the assigned user groups; monitoring the progress and quality of work associated with project deliverables; developing and maintaining accurate project documentation; monitor and control project scope, budget, and schedule; and performing other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested, to contribute to the efficient functioning of the Planning & Integration Projects portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and implements strategies to facilitate the cost effective and timely execution of multiple / simultaneous projects varying from planning, design, construction, furniture, and relocation projects for assigned user groups
- Monitors the progress and quality of work associated with project deliverables
- Develops and maintains accurate project documentation
- Monitors and controls project scope, budget, and schedule
- Performs administrative responsibilities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the department
- Performs cross-functional and other duties consistent with job classification as assigned or requested, to contribute to the efficient functioning of the Planning & Integration Projects portfolio
- At a minimum, completion of a 3-year community college program in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Construction, Urban Planning or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ years related practical experience
- Progression towards a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
- Experience in working in a healthcare environment, major institutional or public sector is an asset
- Knowledge in building technical codes and standards applicable to acute health care environments is an asset.
- Knowledge of Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives and Supply Chain Guidelines is an asset
- Experience with furniture and equipment planning and procurement required
- Experience with decanting and relocation of personnel, furniture and equipment required
- Excellent time management and prioritization and organizational skills required
- Excellent problem recognition and resolution skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail required
- Excellent analytical skills required
- Understanding of master and space planning, and functional programming an asset
- Demonstrate ability to use Microsoft Office applications required
- AutoCAD and MS Project experience required
