Job Summary

We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator for our Mississauga, Ontario location. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the execution of a wide range of marketing projects that assist in the creation and execution of ACCO Brands’ retail marketing plans.

Responsibilities

  • Assist School Marketing Managers with the planning, implementation and overseeing of retail marketing strategies
  • Research and gather intelligence about the retail channel (Walmart, Staples, Costco), industry trends, and the competitive landscape
  • Manage customer forms and data entry requirements for account-specific sales proposals
  • Support marketing managers in the development of account-specific merchandising programs
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of PowerPoint presentations, mock-up samples, assembly of materials and other tasks to support business events and customer meetings
  • Complete account-specific set up forms and other documents
  • Manage Spec System database for products
  • Support internal as well as external data requests by using SAP and specs databases to run reports
  • Help with art updates projects
  • Help coordinate details for required product rework or account-specific special projects
  • Support School team with select general administrative duties such as:
    • Manage trademark and patent records
    • Manage sample requests
    • Process marketing invoices and payments, keep records up to date, set up new vendors
    • Work with customer service to manage and track product quality issues and customer/consumer complaints
Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in Business Administration (preferably with a focus in Marketing)
  • 3+ years of Marketing, Sales or Customer Service experience at the support level
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills (i.e. business documents, presentations and meetings)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including proactive troubleshooting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Proficiency in Excel an asset)
  • Knowledge of SAP an asset
