Our well-respected client base is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to aid the Chief Compliance Officer on a 3 months contract. This is a hybrid role, with expectations of 3 days of in-office work in Vancouver, BC and 2 days work from home.
In your role, you'll assist in safeguarding the brand by ensuring consistent compliance with the legal framework of relevant Canadian regulatory bodies.

In your role, you'll assist in safeguarding the brand by ensuring consistent compliance with the legal framework of relevant Canadian regulatory bodies.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining, improving, and executing compliance programs, standards, and initiatives
- Conducting regular internal audits and evaluations
- Updating and maintaining internal policies and procedures as per provincial and federal standards
- Using data analytics tools to identify potential compliance risks
- Preparing regulatory filings and reports as required by various regulatory agencies
- Reviewing new client account openings, ongoing transactions, KYC changes, and suitability
- Reviewing, analyzing, and reporting unusual activity in client accounts
- Assisting in managing AML/CTF/Sanctions/ABC operations
- Participating in ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Min 2+ years of compliance experience from the financial services industry.
- Chartered/Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and/or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
- Advanced proficiency in the full Microsoft 365 suite (e.g. Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).
