We’re Raise, and we’ve joined forces with our client, a vertically integrated, transport fleet services and temperature control solutions provider with over 50 years of combined expertise. Their transport fleet division provides comprehensive repair, preventive maintenance, and custom fabrication of transport equipment for large and small fleets. Ensuring quality customer service and quick turnaround for more than 20 years, this division services and maintains all brands of tractors, trailers, containers and chassis.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the new 310T Mechanic you’ll be reporting to the Service Manager and be responsible repairing and maintaining of transport equipment. You will play a key role for solving and repairing technical and hands-on problems.

Responsibilities & Functions

  • Performing all levels of preventive maintenance services on trucks, including inspections, brake work, electrical, tire and oil changes
  • Conducting inspections, diagnostics and repairs using Cummins software
  • Testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
  • Performing scheduled maintenance service
  • Maintaining work area appearance and safety

The Details

  • This is a full-time permanent position based out of Mississauga, ON facility on a day shift schedule. In addition to a competitive hourly rate in the range of $38.00/hr – $41.00/hr (commensurate with experience) and eligibility for overtime you’ll also enjoy competitive hourly pay, overtime, healthcare benefits, RRSP program, vacation, career advancement opportunities, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

  • 310T Certification or Registered Apprentice (working toward certification)
  • 2-3 years practical experience with motor coach, heavy truck and truck-trailer maintenance required
  • Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade (shop machines, and power tools)
  • Lift heavy materials more than 75 lbs (i.e., trailer suspension parts, tires, drums etc.)
  • A valid class “G” driver’s license for the Province of Ontario
  • AZ License an asset
