Sr. Advisor, SCM Well Delivery

Agilus is recruiting for a Sr. Advisor, SCM Well Delivery in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.

This position is to manage the overall drilling sourcing efforts and coordinate with Enterprise Category Management (ECM) and the SCM Support Center (SSC) to ensure the success of all Well Delivery programs, executing the strategies devised for the successful implementation of these programs, as well as providing solutions and guidance to the other SCM Advisors and Senior Advisors (acting as a subject matter expert on these programs)

A Typical Day

• Develop annual and long-term strategic planning and budgeting to secure supply of goods and services, for a defined portfolio, across the enterprise and managing the associated price and/or supply risks
• Ensure compliance to supply chain business rules, approved SCM channels, the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, company policies, standards, processes, and regulatory requirements
• High capacity: ability to effectively manage 15+ high spend subcategories across numerous assets and programs
• Internal: Well Delivery (SCM and business unit), Upstream Category Management, SCM Support Center, the SCM Shared Services team, Community and Indigenous Affairs, Finance, Audit, and other CVE internal teams as required
• Create and support positive and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers by challenging and motivating suppliers to optimize service outcomes
• Build and refine fit for purpose bid evaluation models to ensure accurate normalization and thereby enable effective decision-making capabilities for cross functional teams
• Annual performance metrics are identified, monitored and managed to drive team accountability, efficiency and continuous improvement
• Support teams to maintain in-depth knowledge of their subcategories, suppliers, market trends, innovation and best practices
  
  

Successful Candidates Will Have

• 8+ years of progressive strategic sourcing and procurement experience; preference for history of progressively senior roles. Post-secondary degree in business or equivalent
• Well Delivery experience considered an asset, but not a requirement. SCMP considered an asset
• Progressive experience in various aspects of upstream oil and gas with experience in implementing alternate contracting models, low-cost sourcing and advanced sourcing levers
• Sourcing expertise with planning, assessing and implementing outsourcing and multi-sourcing delivery models
• Category management and management of cross-functional category teams
