O2E Brands is looking for a Team Lead, Credit and Collections to join our team in the Vancouver area. You are passionate about implementing strategies that improve collection rates and drive measurable results by highlighting key insights, trends, and potential risks.

Starting January 2025, all team members in Vancouver and Toronto will be required to work in-office every other week, for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). To support business priorities, core hours of attendance will be mandatory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these days..

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Regularly assesses and monitors the financial health of customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, data, and industry information to determine future credit risks of new and existing customers.
  • Establish and evolve a credit policy that aligns with business growth objectives and manage customers' credit limits to these goals
  • Use visual dashboards and analytical reports to highlight key insights, market trends, and make recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates, using DSO, delinquency rates, and receivables turnover to recommend appropriate actions to mitigate potential losses.
  • Support positive discussions with customers in negotiations, while maintaining a strong relationship with our customers
  • Work with internal teams, to manage customer credit limits, resolving disputes or issues that may delay payment.
  • Follow industry standards and best practices to effectively collect on delinquent accounts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and within legal frameworks.
  • Support and mentor a small team of collectors, setting KPI and conducting performance reviews

What You Bring To The Table

  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret financial information from financial statements and market data
  • Solid working knowledge of credit principles and best practices
  • Solid understanding of legal collections escalation processes in Canada and US
  • Proficiency with ERP and productivity systems (experience with NetSuite is an asset)
  • Focus on process improvement, strong organization, and coordination skills preferably with related experience
  • Excellent communication skills, including an ability to deal with both internal and external customers

Compensation And Benefits

  • Salary $67,000 - $80,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
