As a Director within the Capital Markets group at Avenue Living Asset Management, you will play a vital role in raising capital for the firm's various fund offerings by supporting both the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) teams.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Collaborating with senior management and team members from both ECM and DCM to identify and execute potential equity and debt financing opportunities for the firm's diverse fund offerings.
  • Conducting financial analyses to assess the performance of the firm's funds, providing valuable insights for both internal stakeholders and external parties.
  • Monitoring market trends, analyzing competitor offerings, and studying news relevant to multi-family residential, self-storage, farmland investments, and debt and equity markets to offer perspectives and recommendations.
  • Creating presentations, offering documents, and other marketing materials to present the firm's fund offerings and strategies to potential investors and other interested parties, while addressing questions and supporting the ECM and DCM teams during meetings and conference calls.
  • Working closely with legal, accounting, and other advisory teams to perform due diligence on Avenue Living’s fund offerings, ensuring all necessary documentation and regulatory requirements are met.


WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience (private equity, capital markets, investment banking, fund management, asset management, corporate banking, management consulting or corporate finance).
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Completion or working towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA), or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Advanced knowledge of capital markets, real estate investment, corporate finance, asset management, accounting, and fund administration concepts.
  • Proven experience in leading teams, including the ability to manage cross-functional teams, delegate tasks effectively, and oversee the development and execution of projects in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Experience working on equity and/or debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic transactions, including qualitative and quantitative analysis, due diligence, managing external parties, facilitating meetings, and coordinating internal approvals.
  • Ability to develop investment strategies and provide recommendations for changes or enhancements to improve investment objectives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to absorb, grasp, and articulate new concepts quickly, build and manage relationships, and cultivate key internal and external partnerships.
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with senior management (C-suite, vice-president, and director-level), including developing and delivering effective and concise presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, with experience in the preparation of investor materials such as offering documentation, tear sheets, and presentations.
  • Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical and critical thinking skills, with a strong focus on financial analysis, accounting, and financial theory.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, with experience in financial statement modeling and comparable analysis (DCF, M&A, LBO, etc.).
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic changing environment, while demonstrating leadership, a sense of ownership, and a strong work ethic.
  • Capable of managing competing priorities and maintaining strong attention to detail under strict deadlines, while producing accurate results.
