Summary

104.9 Virgin Radio is looking for an energetic Afternoon Drive Announcer to join our team in the City of Champions. It's a chance to rocket your career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a creative, compelling, local, authentic radio show Monday to Friday 2-7pm
  • Make our listeners and followers feel special every single day
  • Understand the importance of Social Media and deliver compelling content daily
  • Ability and desire to get into the community and make a difference, as required
  • Work with the Promotions team to execute fun and engaging contests/promotions
  • Work with the Sales team to deliver great results to our community partners
  • Work with the Program Director to continually improve
  • Ability to voice track into other markets making that show local and relatable
Critical Qualifications
  • Ability to share your life and interact with listeners as if you would with your friends
  • Social media savvy with above average interactions
  • Strong ability to navigate technology and operate a board
  • Knowledge of Vox Pro, Adobe Audition, and Wide Orbit is an asset
  • A passion for the Top 40 Format and trending topics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful on-air experience as a proven leader on air and online
  • Curious person who always wants to know more and challenges us all to be better
  • Has the ability to look at the ordinary and make it sound extraordinary
  • Has a strong desire to win and grow, continually challenging yourself to be better
