APPLY NOW at Grain Millers! Our Yorkton Facility is hiring a Quality Control Technician. This is a Permanent Full-time position. This position requires shift work (12-hr Modified shift schedule), including Nights and weekend shifts.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for preparing samples and conducting laboratory tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. You will be conducting vessel inspections, sampling product lines, and assisting in lab inspections. Documentation, data entry and reporting will be a regular task. All duties and responsibilities must be completed while ensuring compliance with OH&S and food safety requirements.

Essential Qualifications
- Grade 12. A background in science is preferred.
- Previous experience in food processing or grain handling or food lab.
- Familiarity with Cereal grains and their products
- Knowledge of Good manufacturing practices and food safety principles.
- Proficient computer skills including word, excel and outlook.
- Must have the ability to detect visually or by Oduor, off-spec products such as colour, shape, size, etc.
- Must have good mathematical and analytical skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good math, analytical and mechanical skills.
- Must be able to work in fast-paced grain processing environment with Grain and grain dust.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and confined spaces.
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment including lifting to 50 lbs.
