Millwright, Welder - Shutdown

Position Title: Millwright/ Welder (Fly-In/Fly-Out Operation)

Salary Range: $54/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day

About The Client And Role

We are on the hunt for experienced Millwrights and Welders for a 3 day Shutdown assignment in Mining. The outage will run from Nov 4th - Nov 6th. Flights are provided and it is a camp accommodation (food and lodging provided). RSJM Licensed Millwrights and Welders required; we also require a Medical Form, Criminal Record Check and References. Pay is $54/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day (12 hour days) and you are paid 36 hours for the three days.

Other shutdown work or long-term work may materialize as well. If you are not working right now, please get in touch and happy to get you going.

This role provides technical support and coaching to assist the department and the company to strive to achieve their goals of "ZERO HARM"

Main Accountabilities

• Maintenance on all mechanical equipment as outlined in the Preventative Maintenance Program Equipment overhauls and alignments
• Participate in new construction projects as applicable including commissioning and startup
• Carrying out Fixed Plant Maintenance, and various other equipment such as slurry pumps, slurry piping, crusher, scrubber mills, transfer chute maintenance, sizers, conveyors, compressors.
  
  

Main Qualifications

• Interprovincial Red Seal or JM Millwright/ Welder certification from an approved educational facility with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Knowledge and experience of industry related safe work practices
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Consistently strive for personal and operational improvement including the ability to upgrade required skills and competencies
• Industry related Safety Training
• Experience with the following equipment would be an asset; feeders, conveyors, crushers, ship loaders and pumps.
• Proven safety and attendance record
• Willingness and capacity to work in adverse conditions, rotational work and artic environment
• Trouble shooting capabilities are an asset
• Capable of functioning within a multidisciplinary team of journeymen
