Role Responsibilities

Court Technology Services (CTS) delivers technology solutions to Alberta Courts and facilitates the Court's approach to IMT governance, decision-making and service delivery. This broad lens facilitates enhanced collaboration and day-to-day support to ensure effective and efficient IMT service delivery across the Alberta Courts to provide better services to the Courts, Judiciary, Ministry of Justice stakeholders and Albertans.

Reporting to the Director, Strategy and Governance, you will have a critical role facilitating the delivery of IMT functions across this portfolio, including but not limited to CTS branch coordination, IMT Financial management, IMT procurement, IMT Vendor and Contract Management and IMT Issue and Risk Management.

You will coordinate with various stakeholders across the Alberta Courts, Judiciary, and Ministry of Justice and GoA departments, to initiate and maintain effective working relations and partnerships with stakeholders to integrate IMT operations across the branch. You are an expert in anticipating, identifying and responding to diverse and complex IMT service needs and issues.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A university degree in business, computer science, public administration, law or a related field supplemented by a minimum of four years related work experience.e.g. Business, Information technology, Finance, Procurement, etc.

Assets & Preference:

  • Experience applying Industry best practices associated with financial management, procurement, vendor and contract management and Issues and Risk management
  • Ability to manage operational functions of the organization
  • Strong working knowledge of Alberta Legislation (FAA), Trade Agreements (AIT and TILMA)


Equivalency Considered:

  • One year of experience for one year of education OR
  • One year of education for one year of experience.

Hours of Work:
7.25 hours / 36.25 hours a week.

Term of Employment:
This is a full-time permanent position located in Edmonton.
