Bookkeeper

MatrixHR is currently recruiting an experienced Bookkeeper for a Windows and Doors Manufacturing client of ours located in Calgary AB. This is a long term permanent role starting as soon as possible!

Location: Calgary, AB

Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Wage: Based on experience (weekly pay every Friday, plus 4% vacation pay)

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of bookkeeping experience, specifically in a manufacturing environment, and will be proficient in QuickBooks. This role will involve managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing support to the finance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with cost tracking.
• Prepare payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Collaborate with management to streamline accounting processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure security of financial data.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
