The Department of Management has the following Sessional Lecturer positions available for the Winter 2025 academic term and invites applications from suitably qualified candidates. Dates of Appointment: Appointment periods for F courses run January 1, 2025 to April 30, 2025

Salary: Sessional Lecturer I, effective Sep. 1, 2023, the minimum stipend rate inclusive of vacation pay shall be $9,457.89 (0.5 FCE). Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Description: This course introduces students to the challenges an entrepreneur faces when starting a business: assessing his/her goals and ability, attracting financial and human resources, competing in the marketplace, and dealing with laws and regulations. Readings and discussion material will include actual business cases as well as academic articles and book chapters. The class is of relevance to students interested in starting new businesses, working in consulting or finance, and pursuing research and graduate studies. [24L]

Estimated TA Support: 0.75 hours (minimum) estimated per enrolled student

Estimated Course Enrolment: 60 students per section
