Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation. Partnership pathway.
Responsibilities
- Handle a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for hearings and trials.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and tactics.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
- Experience taking business disputes to court (contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, oppression, derivative proceedings, property related disputes etc.)
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Admission to the Law Society of British Columbia
- 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation.
- Strong academic credentials, including excellent law school transcripts.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
- Experience with big law firms preferred.
- Salary commensurate with experience.
- Discretionary bonus based on performance.
