Position Description

We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we're still growing! Join us as a "Guidewire Solution Architect".

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at Markham for minimum 2-3 days per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end solutions for IT change focusing on the Guidewire Insurance suite.
  • Create Guidewire centric designs that are fit for purpose from a functional, non-functional, service, and security point of view.
  • Deliver solutions that progress the overall architecture journey and are aligned to Aviva’s IT Strategy
  • Comply with standards, design approaches and governance.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Proven experience in Guidewire Insurance suite including Guidewire Policy Center, Guidewire Claim Center, Contact Manager, Guidewire Edge.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire Cloud Platform capabilities and cloud migration approaches/options.
  • Experience in architecting integration solution involving Guidewire to the ecosystem’s applications including document, finance, payments exposure.
  • Experience in integration architecture design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of digital technologies, cloud computing, and modern development practices.
  • Certified in the public cloud (AWS or Azure)
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end project lifecycle methodologies (mainly agile).
  • Strong technical experience. This maybe broad experience with the ability to apply it across a variety of customer and business scenarios.
  • The role holder must care about technology and how to exploit it for the benefit of our customers.
  • Financial acumen to support development of business cases and to inform key design decisions.
  • Ability to balance long-term direction and necessary short-term goals.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance to peers and project colleagues.
  • Strong personal impact and influence
  • Good stakeholder and relationship management
  • Leadership skills
