Parts Technician
The Parts Technician will work in a fast-paced environment where you will be working with customers to aid in finding the right part for their Kenworth truck, assisting in inventory management, and supporting the service department with parts for open work orders. Reporting to the Parts Manager, this role offers challenges as you’ll have a chance to work with the latest technology, giving you an opportunity to showcase your skills and experience. If you are an independent problem-solver with a passion for the industry, we want you to be a valuable member of the GreatWest Kenworth team.
Your day to day will include:
Conduct phone calls and emails with customers for order processing
Customer Service
Assisting with parts estimates
Refilling displays to ensure pricing and inventory is up to date
Fill orders for the service department in a timely manner for open work orders
Picking parts for customers picking up in person or coordinating with the shipping department for customer delivery.
Work scheduled on call shifts to provide parts for customers needed after hours
Attending additional training, as available
Maintain personal and company equipment.
Communicate with teams (service department, heavy equipment technicians, other parts team members, parts manager, parts director) when managing their job duties and solving problems.
Key Skills and Experience Requirements:
Apprentice parts Technician or Journeyman Parts Technician
Experience in with Heavy-Duty Truck Parts and Accessories
Forklift experience
Other Related Skills:
The ability to withstand work-related deadlines and pressures.
Team Player Attitude
Time Management
Must be able to sit, kneel, lift, walk, and carry for extended periods.
