What your role will be…
The Manager, Small Business Credit Products is responsible for the suite of Small Business credit products, ensuring they are competitively positioned, profitability is maximized and existing and future customers’ needs are met. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Strategy & Development, the incumbent will lead multiple credit initiatives to drive growth, optimize capabilities, and monitor performance to ensure we meet or exceed goals and objectives.
Specifically, the Manager, Small Business Credit Products is responsible for the following:
- Assist the Senior Manager in strategy formulation and attainment of profitability objectives through pricing and repricing initiatives
- Ensure the Small Business Banking Credit operating model is set up to sustain growth targets and support strategic priorities
- Identify enhancements to the existing product line that will assist in improving the customer and employee experience;
- Conduct customer and product level portfolio analysis to identify costs reduction and/or on revenue opportunities
- Support the development of key account management strategies to understand and optimize the customer life cycle
What you will be doing…
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Assist the Senior Manager in making product Profit & Loss recommendations through pricing and identifying expense reduction opportunities
- Develop forecasting models and projections to ensure the portfolio is on track to meet and exceed targets and goals
- Support in the development and design of new products and/or enhancements to the existing Small Business product line
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve customer experience and/or drive operational efficiencies for the Small Business Credit portfolio
- Manage application platforms that support all Small Business products
- Support all credit acquisition strategies, engagement tactics and channel management to sustain growth targets
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
What you need to succeed…
- Undergraduate business degree or MBA preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in product-related roles
- Creative approach to product development and differentiation; ability to monitor wider market/consumer trends and tailor new products accordingly
- Expert Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Results oriented individual
- Strong business and marketing acumen
- Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s application systems and their relationships within the Bank
- Excellent analytical and market research skills
