IWS Specialist (1-Year Contract for Maternity Cover)

The IWS Specialist is responsible for coordinating warehousing and distribution shipments, ensuring that service commitments are met and maintained in line with client requirements and company objectives. This role aims to maximize company profitability by efficiently managing warehouse operations and distribution logistics. The role is based in our Mississauga office.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Transport & Inventory:
    • Arrange for warehouse storage, distribution, and/or transport of cargo as needed for warehouses, carriers, or other applicable parties.
    • Control client inventory as required.
  • Communication:
    • Keep clients, partners, and other relevant parties fully informed of inventory, distribution, and/or transport status on a regular basis.
    • Verify pieces, weights, and dimensions of cargo.
    • Receive transport orders.
    • Receive client documentation to produce orders for customers of the client.
    • Communicate with applicable parties to ensure service requirements are met.
    • Maintain a professional phone manner both internally and externally.
  • Documentation:
    • Process, issue, distribute, and/or dispatch all required documentation to all applicable parties in a timeframe consistent with service needs and company policy.
  • Sales Functions:
    • Receive rate requests.
  • Accounting & Administrative:
    • Ensure invoicing of rendered services is completed accurately and in a timeframe consistent with company policy.


Skills & Qualifications:


  • Proficient knowledge of warehousing & distribution systems
  • Proficient verbal, written & organizational skills
  • Able to work effectively under pressure
  • Diligent attention to detail
  • Professional and courteous phone manner
  • Ability to solve logistical problems as necessary
  • Ability to work within a group and be a team player
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Post Secondary Education
