The Opportunity: As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Mental Health Clinician provides a range of mental health services to community members including individuals, families and groups within a First Nations cultural and socioeconomic setting.

• Develops a case load through referral of individuals and groups from CSFS and the community; Health, Social and Education service providers.
• Provides individual, family and groups assessment in one or a combination of the following area: attitudinal, cognitive psycho physiological, affective, and/or behavioral functions.
• Prepares an agreed upon case plan with the client that contains goals for mental health issue modification/ amelioration and the behavioral change methods for achieving those goals.
• Applies principles of behavioral change in administering individual, couples, group, and family counseling sessions to achieve goals.
• Conducts periodic evaluations of client intervention programs to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
• Provides mental health prevention and awareness workshops to the client communities and service.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Educational Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or comparable degree with strong clinical skills.
• Registered, or eligible to be registered, with their respective professional bodies.
• Two years of related experience with responsibility for providing a range of community based mental health services.

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $43.27 to $56.04 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
