The Team
We are part of Global Finance and Risk Technology (GFRT) IT group providing Technology and support services to business users in Finance and Risk business lines on Regulatory Initiatives and data centric applications that demands high quality work in rolling out new creative solutions and enhancements to the existing solutions both with the speed, quality, and production stability.
The Role
If you are passionate about technology, data, and automation with futuristic view, we are looking for talented Data Engineer, with experience on various development platforms to join our team and contribute to a wide variety of initiatives and also play an active role on the team by collaboratively, helping deliver strategic solutions.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Interface with a diverse customer base to understand requirements, priorities, and processes and work on various initiatives and support the business strategies to help modernize and enhance the Bank’s Capital Reporting capabilities.
- Lead the design and implementation to re-platform, re-architecture solutions, bringing in expertise in development process, leveraging modern build and deployment tools and best practices.
- Work with Business lines to understand credit risk data, provide meaningful insights and help with implementations. Effective analysis, design, development, and delivery of high reliability applications using different technology stacks.
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills, including the ability to assume end-to-end ownership of a project and responsibility for the related project deliverables.
- Guide team on design, and to build reusable components and scalable solutions. High attention to detail, quality, and workmanship with ability to translate business needs into automated solutions.
- Promote and implement best practices in the area of application resiliency and stability (e.g. Operational runbooks, software currency, non-functional testing, continuous and iterative tuning, capacity management, trend analysis, proactive monitoring, vendor management).
- Maintain an awareness of emerging trends and best practices in Technology and Solution designs, having strategic vision to bring together the ideas and innovation that inspires and creates enterprise level risk and capital solutions.
- Our team is a high performing, flexible and fast – you will be asked to engage in resolving and remediating production incidents.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 8+ years of IT and Risk Management working experience in technology space in business and enterprise-level technology solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Banking domain, Credit Risk, Finance and good experience in Analytics and Reporting background to help drive solutions / results.
- Experience with Financial Services and Capital Credit Risk technologies is required.
- 5 + years of experience in Programming in R, Python, HTML/XML, .NET, ASP, Visual Basic, PL/SQL, UNIX
- Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL Server, Hadoop cluster, Hive, Power Shell Scripting, Unix Shell Scripting, XML and encryption technologies is required.
- 5+ years experience in the design and implementation of BI solutions
- 5+ years working on SQL Server framework (SSIS, SSRS, SSMS)
- 5+ years in SQL Server DB & Query development, Oracle, ETL
- Good experience in applying UI/UX and visualization designs.
- Good experience with Software design, coding, versioning, and deployments, (including Bitbucket, ACCP/Jenkins pipeline)
Nice To Have Skills:
- 3+ years working on cloud-based platform (Azure, PCF or GCP)
- Experience with API creation and using REST APIs, including JSON and XML APIs.
- 3+ years experience with Tomcat Apache and Nasdaq Adenza Controller View Tool
- Experience with ETL tools such as DataStage in AIX, Windows, Linux environments
