We are looking for a Senior Manager of Development to join Merchant Services domain within Commerce Engineering team – where we develop and modernize technology that powers the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Products & Services.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Help drive strategy to transform current platforms using new technologies and tools available that best support the business needs.
- Incorporate modern technologies and practices to enhance user experience, redesign process flows, improve production support efforts, reduce operational costs, and improve security, availability, and reliability of overall business systems.
- Be responsible for the architecture, and successful implementation of effective and quality solutions that resolve highly complex business problems and support business needs.
- Oversee the support of critical business applications and work to continuously improve service levels while building strong relationships with key business and technical partners.
- Ensure delivery meets the integrity, quality, performance, and reliability requirements by building automated testing and regression suites and using DevOps principles.
- Effectively manage a team of technical professionals by setting performance expectations, monitoring performance, and providing technical guidance and coaching. This includes leading the recruitment of talent and building high-performing teams.
- Champion a customer-focused and high-performing culture and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
- Manage relationships with business and technology leadership, consequently effective communication an audience at all levels and the ability to promote an idea and gain consensus is critical.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 10+ years of relevant software development and IT industry work experience, with clear progression through ranks, and 3+ years leading and building high performance teams
- Must be a strong leader with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build collaboration and alignment from both stakeholder groups and other technology teams.
- Disciplined in development methodology and familiar with software development technologies and concepts. Practical experience with systems design and specification for large scale applications.
- Strong programming skills in any programming language, and experience with a wide spectrum of technologies including Cloud development/deployment (Azure/Google)
- Practical expertise on agile delivery with deep understating of core agile concepts and practices, and DevOps culture
- Able to live and train people though a continuous improvement and growth mindsets.
- Knowledge and Experience in extreme programming practices.
- Knowledge of Microservices Architecture is a plus.
