Position Summary
Hatch is seeking a Mechanical Engineering co-op student with interest in Mechanical & Piping engineering in our Project Delivery Group. Reporting to the Mechanical discipline lead Engineer, you will support projects globally working from our Mississauga office located with opportunities in other Hatch offices and at project job sites.

Responsibilities
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete mechanical and piping engineering design deliverables for a variety of projects
- Assist with mechanical engineering detailed design and deliverables
- Become knowledgeable with mechanical design and their practical applications, regional codes and standards (CSA, ASME, ASHRAE, ISO, etc.), various engineering design tools and applications, and Hatch’s quality procedures.
- Work collaboratively in a multi-discipline environment to deliver the best solution for our clients.
- Assist our senior engineers and designers with their responsibilities including but not limited to checking engineering deliverables, attending design reviews, quality reviews, and participating in site inspections and walkdowns.
Education and Experience:
- Must be enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program at an accredited university
- Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community
- Previous co-op or work experience in mechanical engineering design and execution will be considered an asset.
- Technical experience with mechanical or piping design calculations, modeling tools and software, ability to use data-centric design tools, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) will be preferred.
