Mechanical Supervisor

Summary of the role We are looking for an experienced Installation Supervisor to join us. The incumbent will be based at one of our work sites in Canada. As a member of the Andritz Field Services team, the selected candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and leading the installation.
The following responsibilities form the core of this role:
• Organize the work schedule to ensure that workers and subcontractors have the required tools, materials, drawings, work instructions & permits, and work area to accomplish their tasks in a timely manner and in accordance with the scheduled milestone;• Responsible for communicating with subcontractors and providing them with instructions and directives; • Ensure installations are built in accordance with specifications, drawings, procedures, technical standards, safety standards and work plans; • Monitor work progress and identify any delays ;• Participate in auditing for compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) procedures and regulations and active participation in root cause analysis;• Manage and resolve site technical issues.

• Minimum five (3) years of experience in a supervisory role on mechanical equipment;• Minimum five (3) years of experience in the construction industry, (an asset);• Effective communication skills (oral & written);• Excellent interpersonal skills;• Proven ability to develop excellent working relationships with workers and subcontractors;• Knowledge and understanding of commercial terms and conditions and of collective agreements;• Technical knowledge of pre-commissioning, commissioning or startup (an asset);• Ability to read, interpret and follow methods statements, procedures, specifications and drawings;• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and corporate computer tools.• Proven leadership ability within a team environment;• Knowledge of French & English, spoken and written;• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
