Senior Application Analyst

As a Senior Application Analyst within the payments and counters team, you are responsible for analyzing new requests and providing application support.
Your job
- Set up the prerequisites and cloud environments (AWS) for the development and deployment of application components (Web App, BD, etc.)
- Manage, analyze, communicate and coordinate the resolution of incidents, issues and application change requests with the Bank’s teams and external suppliers
- Analyze and qualify requests for BI and financial applications from users or internal or external partners
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (business line, developers, analysts, solution architect, etc.) and be able to offer different analyses (functional, data, quality assurance)
- Understand business needs, issues and processes, document needs and prepare recommendations to design or adapt systems that meet the needs and facilitate decision-making
- Ensure good IT hygiene of the application park under the responsibility of our sector
- Participate in the evolution of business orientations and the IT environment supporting them
- Create test scenarios and perform functional and technical tests.

Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree or other related diploma in the industry and several years of relevant experience
- Technical experience in analysis, technical support or incident management
- Experience in stakeholder management, including working with suppliers
- Basic knowledge of databases and programming (be able to read pseudo-code)
- Experience with AWS cloud services (EKS, EC2, docker, route53, VPC, Lambda, terraform, etc.) an asset
- Knowledge of collaborative work tools: Jira, Confluence, MS Office365
- Knowledge of initiative and operations management methodologies: Agile (Scrum, Kanban), ITIL, DevOps, or other
- Understanding of delivery cycle/life cycle of incident and problem management, desirable
- Knowledge of development and monitoring tools: Remedy, AppDynamics, PowerBI, EasyBI, an asset.
