JOB TYPE: Temporary full-time

SCHEDULE: Day, Evening, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Regional Director of Addiction and Mental Health Services, the incumbent will assume a leadership role by planning, organizing, directing and evaluating services provided based on the needs of the adult and elderly population. This person will ensure quality services by working closely with health care professionals, clients and their families, as well as other service providers, in accordance with the management philosophy and objectives with Vitalité Health Network's policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Health Sciences or Social Sciences in a relevant discipline (nursing, social work, occupational therapist or psychology);
  • Member in good standing of a professional association;
  • Eight years clinical experience in community mental health or addiction services or with the clients served, and this with increasing responsibilities;
  • Relevant experience managing community health programs, including human resources;
  • Good knowledge in the area of mental health, addiction services, or psychiatry;
  • Good knowledge of acts and regulations in the area of mental health and community resources;
  • Practical knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel programs;
  • Excellent leadership skills, and high level of initiative and judgment;
  • Above-average public speaking skills and ability to facilitate groups;
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities while managing multiple tasks;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physically able to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
