Acuren is currently hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist who is dedicated, energetic, professional, and detail oriented to join our Team. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Lead, t his position based in our Sherwood Park office plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions while supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify and accurately process invoices, expense claims, and company credit card transactions in a timely manner
  • Identify , investiga te and resolv e discrepancies and/or non-compliance with policies and practices
  • Ensur e account allocation within the general ledger/sub ledger is accurate
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding errors or delays in payments
  • Work with field offices and vendors to research issues and provide support
  • Review statements of vendor account s to ensure all invoices have been received
  • New vendor set-ups
  • Monthly reconciliation of multiple company credit cards.
  • Prepare cheques on an ad hoc basis as required
  • Perform month end close activities as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting or a related discipline (preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable
  • Experience in a multi-site environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office setting
