Jardeg Construction is currently recruiting for Electricians to join the Imperial Oil team on site in Cold Lake, Alberta on a 5 days on 2 days off shift with 10 hours a day schedule ( 8 Hours RT and 2 hours OT).

LOA and Travel allowance available.

Imperial Oil Cold Lake has been in operation for 45 years and has close to 400 employees and over ~1000 contracted workers including workers from indigenous businesses. Covering 780 square kilometers (about 300 square miles), Cold Lake is one of the largest thermals in situ operations in the world and supplies our Strathcona Refinery and refineries across Canada and the United States, so they can create the fuel, asphalt and products that keep life running.

Electricians install, alter, repair and maintain electrical systems designed to provide heat, light, power, control, signal or fire alarms for all types of buildings, structures and premises.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to take directions, and receptive to training and mentoring.
  • Expertly identify and able to proficiently install almost all material components.
  • Expert conduit skills.
  • Expert with circuitry planning and installations.
  • Expertly read and comprehend drawings and specifications.
  • Expert control systems planning and installation.
  • Proficiently size, plan and install electrical services.
  • Expert with multiple types of installations.
  • Adhering to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Hazardous location requirements.
  • Ensure exceptional workmanship from all direct reports.
  • Proficient multi-meter, Meggar, Phase Rotation meter and AMP-Meter usage.
  • Proficiency in ARC Flash awareness.
  • Mentor junior apprentices.

  • Electrician Journeyperson
  • CSTS-2020
  • H2S Alive
  • Standard First Aid
  • AWP
  • Fall Protection
  • Valid driver’s license and a 3 year’s abstract
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
