The Personal Support Worker (PSW) will provide personal care to assist clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene.  The PSW will support the clients' physical, social and emotional needs in a safe manner, in accordance with the organization's resident-centred approach, complying with relevant government standards, residents' rights and the organizations mission and philosophy.



  • Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent
  • Experience in long term care setting an asset
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve and time manage
  • Ability to work independently as well as be an active, positive team player 
  • Computer literacy
  • Shift work, including days, evenings, nights and weekends
  • Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset


Working Conditions:

  • Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending
  • Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact
  • Ability to work day shifts, including weekends and short shifts. May be required to work an alternate shift(s) to meet operational needs (e.g., emergency, training, accommodation, etc.) as per scheduling practices 
  • This is a temporary full time position for 2 months, with possibility of extension
