Job Purpose

The Clinical Resource Pharmacist is responsible for providing leadership to ensure safe use and effective management of medications for a specific clinical program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
  • Registered or eligible for licensure with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists and licensed to practice in New Brunswick.
  • Completion of an advanced clinical pharmacy practice program or degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Resource Pharmacist is responsible for:

  • Providing advanced clinical services
  • Taking a leadership role regarding drug use and clinical practice
  • Leading and participating in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives, projects and research activities
  • Providing mentoring, training and education\
  • Acting as a preceptor
  • Develop, implement, evaluate and enhance the pharmacy service, education program and research initiatives.
  • Establish and implement standards for staff performance and development.
  • Serving as site coordinator for the region residency program (if applicable).
