Join Ecolab’s industry leading Pest Elimination team as an Associate District Manager in the BC Market. As an Associate District Manager, you will develop and lead a team of Service Specialists who provide pest detection, elimination and prevention solutions to restaurants, hospitals, hotels, retail stores, food and beverage plants, schools, nursing homes and other commercial establishments. Within the team, you will be responsible for coordinating district initial services, ensuring service excellence, managing open routes, pursuing sales opportunities, and performing quality assurance visits. As a part of your development, you will participate in recruiting, selecting, coaching and the performance management process. Throughout your career, you will uphold Ecolab’s culture and policies to foster a safe and respectful work environment ensuring Ecolab’s protocols and procedures are followed.

Cities/Area Candidates must reside in: Vancouver, North Vancouver, Lower Mainland or close surrounding areas

Territory Coverage: Province of British Columbia - Vancouver, Lower Mainland, with occasional travel to Vancouver Island and BC Interior up to Prince George as needed

Overnight travel: 2 - 4 nights/month

Weekend Coverage: up to 2 - 4 weekends/ quarter

What You Will Do

  • Supervise a team of 10-20 Service Specialists responsible for day and night route management while ensuring service excellence and compliance with applicable regulations / laws
  • Participate in field trip evaluations
  • Pursue sales opportunities and go for the green sales leads
  • Participate in selection, training, development, and coaching of Service Specialists
  • Coordinate district initial services, manage open routes, maintain inventory and perform QA visits
  • Review profit / loss monthly statements and projections to drive business growth targets

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School required, Post-secondary education preferred, with 1 year of Ecolab or people management experience.
  • PC skills: proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, after hours during the week and on weekends to support the team and customers
  • Must possess or able to obtain required Pest provincial certification & business licensing pursuant to country or provincial law
  • Ability to work remotely with internet access capability
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination may be required based on client site requirements
  • Able to travel to the US for training/meetings
  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Physical Demands

  • Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 50 pounds (25 kilograms) chest high
  • Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions and hot conditions
  • Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use hands to finger, balancing, walking, standing, talk and hear
  • Must be capable of wearing a respirator

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post Secondary degree/diploma in process or completed
  • 3+ years supervisory or team leadership experience in a field support or service related industry
  • Proven record of meeting customer needs, quality service delivery and meeting business objectives
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills with aptitude to implement change initiatives
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills when handling challenging situations in a fast paced environment
  • Prior experience in value added sales and/or new account generation

Annual Or Hourly Compensation Range

$65,000 - $67,925. This position has base salary and is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan as a % of eligible pay, per plan terms.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range is based on full-time 40 hours per week. Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, travel (if required), etc.
