Your role and responsibilities
Modify and update electronic circuits, both digital and analogue.
Perform the selection of electronic parts.
Carry out changes to embedded software (microcontroller, FPGA) as well as test software (Python).
Participate in the maintenance of the design documentation, technical budgets as well as test and start-up documentation.
Troubleshoot and analyze the failure of electronic boards.
Actively participate and collaborate in the evaluation and planning of tasks.
Participate in the application of the safety standards (CE, CSA, ATEX), environmental standards (RoHS, WEEE), and electromagnetic compliance standards (CE, FCC).

Qualifications For The Role
- Bachelor's degree in computer/electrical engineering or technical DCS in programmable electronics and robotics (TSO).
- Good analytical skills and understanding of electronic circuits.
- Knowledge of Python programming.
- Knowledge of C/C++ programming on microcontroller.
- Advanced knowledge of VHDL programming (an asset).
- Be skilled in prototyping and troubleshooting electronic boards.
- Knowledge of Altium Designer software (an asset).
- Good knowledge of French and English, spoken and written. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis
