Salary range is expected to be between
$92,190.00 CAD - $171,210.00 CAD

Manulife is seeking a self-motivated Platform Engineer for Data and Analytics Platforms, who is obsessed with delivering value, is forward-thinking, and optimizing infrastructure! You will be responsible to build, handle and support DnA platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and build the cloud automation workflow and support the cloud blueprint.
- Support hands-on cloud platform provisioning and configuration management coding development, deployment
- Deliver business cloud solution by implementing the cloud resources (provisioning, hardening, etc.)
- Continuously improve the monitoring and logging engineering for cloud area and enable the end-to-end monitoring and dashboard reporting
- Standardize the runbook by automating the standard BAU tasks
- Create, maintain the operational/user documentation for engineering product/solution
- Build coding for platform automation and scripting for the runbook to 7x24 support and monitoring teams.
- Conduct new cloud platform testing, runbook, and packing as cloud service offering to business users.
- Plan and implement vital controls/activities for infrastructure and platform changes.
- Assist to plan, implement, and review the capacity planning (any limits) for resources and report/recommend to management if required.
- May involve for implementing some of the DR/DR drill for different markets according to local compliance and BCP requirement if required from RUN team
- Support the architecture team to support their design and configure the data and analytics landscapes

- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in leading a large implementation of related technologies
- Hands-on expertise on Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS management such as provisioning, scripting etc. in both day 1 and day 2 operation.
- Expertise on all DevOps tools set and IaC programming such as Terraform, Python, PowerShell for infrastructure automation management.
- Proven experience on common CICD pipeline, repositories management such as Github actions, Jenkins, etc.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining large-scale data and analytics systems.
- Knowledge on infrastructure services provisioning, security concepts, standard methodologies on the IaaS and PaaS models to support data and analytic solutions built.
- Experience with compliance and audit activities for enforcement of policies, standards, and procedures
- Familiarity with scripting and programming (Python, batch, PowerShell, shell script etc.,)
- Understanding of and experience with ITIL processes
- A solid understanding of risk, security, and compliance requirements and standard methodologies
- Good understanding of networking infrastructure and network fixing (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, DHCP, Load balancing, Replication, SSH)
- Able to support enterprise infrastructure and assist in the day-to-day operation of the team
- Strong and reliable teammate with the ability to handle change and work independently
- Passion on adopting and testing the cloud and new IT technology
- Good collaborative attitude, willingness to work and share knowledge/information with team members
- Solid understanding of project scheduling and task driven project work
- Strong communication and technical skills, prior experience with mentoring teams and working in a process driven environment
- Effective troubleshooting/ problem solving skills
- Able to deliver the job on time by prioritizing the tasks/problems.
