What makes this a great opportunity?

The Supply Planning Analyst is responsible for the timely replenishment of inventory into two distribution centers within the Canadian market. Leveraging the internal demand signal, historical shipping patterns and inventory holding policies, maintain inventory levels to support a 98.5% case fill level while achieving critical working capital targets.

Suntory Global Spirits (SGS) offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid work arrangement (60/40 in office/remote), in a fast-paced CPG minded environment. This is a high impact role that is responsible for timely replenishment of approximately 40% of the national volume into two major markets to deliver against critical sales targets. This role also offers the opportunity to effectively manage approximately $20M Cnd of working capital to help the business meet critical Operating Income targets.

Role Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will.


  • Effective management of inventory relative to the demand signal and historical shipping trends to meet service and working capital KPI’s.
  • Basic appreciation in how to structure and maintain data to support planning tools. Working knowledge of planning systems (ideally SAP APO or IBP), to efficiently analyze and execute timely replenishment plans.
  • Highly organized, independent worker that can autonomously analyze data and generate business insights to inform/influence Sales and Supply Chain stakeholders.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Review Forecasting and Supply Chain KPI’s and apply learnings to lead-time, safety, and order multiple settings to ensure replenishment modelling is as accurate as possible.
  • Maintain planning systems weekly to ensure replenishment models are as accurate as possible.
  • Monitor on hand and in transit inventory levels as required (weekly/monthly) to support a 98.5% or higher case fill rate out of our two third party warehouses.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and/or Logistics stakeholders as required to resolve replenishment challenges.
  • Participate business meetings as required (S&OE, Monthly Brand Meetings) to provide stakeholders with a perspective on inventory levels/coverage.
  • Collaborate with the North American and/or Global S&OP Fulfillment colleagues to ensure alignment with systems and processes globally. Where required defend deviation and/or advocate for functionality as required to support the Canadian Business.
  • Support and/or lead ad hoc projects and analysis as requested.


Qualifications


  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering or Mathematics related program at College or University.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Supply Planning capacity (Production Planning/Network Supply or DRP planner) or experience as a CPFR planner/analyst. (Beverage Alcohol experience an asset)
  • Supply Chain certification such as CSCP/CPIM would be an asset.
  • 15% - Limited travel required. When required, would be to meet with colleagues in the corporate head office located in Chicago.
