We are looking for a Senior Project Manager (Bridges) to join our highly professional team of specialists who provide detailed engineering and project management on numerous bridge design projects. You will be responsible for managing bridge design projects, liaising directly with clients, pursuing business development opportunities, and leading the growth and mentorship of our Edmonton team.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Manage projects with design partners and clients
- Participate in business development opportunities, including writing proposals
- Direct and mentor teams of engineers and technicians producing drawings and calculations along with supervising, coordinating, and reviewing the work of other engineers
- Liaise with other professionals, clients, and third parties as needed
- Perform forecasting, resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting for assigned project(s)
- Perform tasks on projects requiring a broad and deep knowledge of the field of bridge infrastructure
- Prepare construction drawings, engineering reports, memoranda, and other documents, such as technical specifications
- Oversee construction administration activities along with performing site inspections and other tasks as required
- Develop team members in project settings by actively mentoring and guiding them, identifying development opportunities within projects, setting clear goals, and providing pathways for career growth and skill enhancement

On top of that, you will have:
- A Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- A Professional Engineer License (P.Eng.) in Alberta, or can obtain within 6 months
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience in Bridge Design and Project Management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Experience in leading bridge projects with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors, the City of Edmonton, and the City of Calgary
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management and as a technical leader with a proven ability to prepare proposals and review agreement terms
- Efficient written and verbal communication skills combined with great interpersonal and relationship-building skills
