About You

As the Yoga and Wellness Activities Manager at Total Life, you will play a key role in shaping our wellness programs, fostering community engagement, and creating meaningful experiences for our clients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our team, contribute to special projects, gain insight into the dynamics of a growing wellness-focused organization, and make a lasting impact on our clients’ journey toward holistic health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead group yoga, meditation, nutrition sessions, live journalling, and other wellness activities tailored to older adult clients of varying experience levels.
  • Create and deliver live and recorded engaging, well-rounded class sequences and wellness sessions that support participants' physical, mental, and emotional health.
  • Build a warm and supportive atmosphere, offering modifications and personalized adjustments as needed to ensure accessibility for all levels.
  • Educate participants on the benefits of yoga, mindfulness, and other wellness practices, encouraging a holistic approach to health and balance.
  • Foster a sense of community within classes, encouraging client interaction, support, and shared goals.
  • Adapt and modify practices to meet individual needs and goals, addressing diverse fitness levels and wellness objectives.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment, following health and safety guidelines. Approach all interactions with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Keep current with industry trends and new developments in wellness, yoga, and mindfulness to enhance class offerings.

Qualifications

  • Yoga and Meditation certifications from a recognized institution (preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in yoga, wellness, mindfulness, or related practices.
  • Proficient with technology, and online class membership management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and supportive approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely and effectively lead older adult participants in yoga poses and sequences.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Genuine commitment to promoting a balanced lifestyle through yoga, mindfulness, and wellness practices.
