The opportunity:
EfficiencyOne is looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst to cover maternity leave and be accountable for managing and reporting on corporate data to support evidence-based decisions. The role requires working with data from several sources and interacting with data 'owners' to combine, standardize, and report on corporate information. The Data and Reporting Analyst is also responsible for supporting data management functions within MS Fabric/MS Power Suite infrastructure as needed and supporting the self-serve reporting needs of staff across the organization.
- Responsible for data management, including standardizing, combining, and summarizing data (often from several sources) for reporting and other initiatives as needed.
- Responsible for data visualization with a focus on communicating information simply and intuitively with aesthetically pleasing design.
- Responsible for preparing data for loading into the corporate data warehouse and our Customer Information System (CIS) as needed.
- Supporting operations-based data functions within the organization based on both internal and external stakeholder schedules (e.g., audit, evaluation, etc.).
- Responsible for fulfilling ad-hoc data and information/report requests from the data warehouse, the CIS, and other sources.
- Responsible for building recurring reports with Power BI (utilizing data pipelines and automated refresh procedures), and supporting Power BI users with dashboard design and training as needed (re: self-serve reporting)
- Support data integrity and data validation along with process improvements as they relate to the data life cycle from data collection through to reporting (for example, automating data movement, and reporting)
- Participate in planning exercises and projects as needed (data support)
- Assistance in documentation for various requirements
What Will Help You Succeed?
- University degree, or College diploma specializing in data/information management or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience using Power BI/Power Query
- Knowledge of structured query language (SQL), Python, and experience in combining and analyzing data from several different sources and formats.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative; does not wait for 'production'-ready data; comfortable working with non-standardized data to get quick hits and insights.
- Strong writing skills, particularly in summarizing operational results for management and external audiences.
- Strong analytical skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills
- A willingness to learn new applications/languages as the need arises.
- Ability to be dynamic in a quickly evolving industry (e.g., new concepts, new tools, etc.)
In the first week, expect to:
- Job shadows the Business Intelligence Analyst to gain a more in-depth understanding of day-to-day roles and responsibilities.
- Spend time with other teammates to learn about their roles and responsibilities.
- Read materials to get more familiar with E1's data, programs, and services.
- Start performing core duties.
In the first month, expect to:
- Take on other data management and reporting duties with support from your teammates.
- Establish a performance plan with your manager.
- Continue to learn more about E1s data and processes.
In the first three months, expect to:
- Work in conjunction with other departments (e.g., regulatory, finance) to produce core stakeholder reports.
- Support BI Team & broader I&A team with data management tasks.
- Establish a performance and development plan with your manager
