Accounting Technician

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician on a temporary basis for our Corporate Accounting team (term up to 7 months).
We are looking for an independent problem-solver to support our Corporate Bulk Plants and Cardlocks. This successful candidate will perform reconciliations on a regular basis using systems including mainframe and JD Edwards. As such, candidates should be able to grasp new technology quickly and communicate effectively.
This position is a hybrid opportunity and will be based in Saskatoon, SK.
What you’ll do:
- Complete Corporate Bulk Plant and Cardlock reconciliations, investigating variances and preparing adjusting entries.
- Prepare a weekly report for all bulk locations with an analysis of significant overages and shortages.
- Reconcile various general ledger and receivable accounts.
- Other duties as required.
Who you’ll work with:
The successful candidate will report into the Manager, Energy & Ag Accounting and will often interact with individuals in corporate accounting, at the CRC, and on energy focused teams.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in accounting and:
- Have a high school diploma and two post-secondary courses in financial accounting (from an accredited post-secondary institution).
- Have two years of relevant accounting experience.
