Location
This is a remote position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in Canada. Please note if you are located in Ottawa, Canada you will be required to be in the office 3 days per week in a hybrid schedule.

The biggest companies in the world use Maestro every day to solve their supply chain challenges. Our team owns an incredibly powerful supply chain planning engine. This engine stores and serves the data and performs calculations with incredible speed, accuracy and reliability.
We’ve just embarked on an ambitious and transformational project to put cloud first - rewrite our planning engine and update it with the newest technologies and approaches. At the same time, we need to support all our existing customers . It’s a n ambitious project ! We’re unleashing the team’s creativity and innovation to support more users, more customers, more data, more calculations, faster performance.

What you will do
- Design and implement high-performance, scalable and maintainable features of our cloud-native backend system
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, ensuring high-quality deliverables through peer reviews and adherence to coding standards.
- Write unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure robust and error-free software.
- Actively participate in product and feature design reviews
- Elaborate the work required to implement and test new functionality . Create and evaluate work items, test plans and strategies.
- Contribute to a variety of activities throughout the feature development lifecycle, including maintaining environments, triaging failures, etc.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering an environment of learning and growth
- 5-7 years of relevant software development experience
- Demonstrated history of contributing significant features to a product as a coder.
- Solid experience developing a substantial amount of code for object-oriented applications in C++. Willingness to learn and work in other languages, such as Go
- Understanding of data structures, design patterns, asynchronous and concurrent programming.
- Ability to write performant code, ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks
- Demonstrated history of decomposing complex solutions into well-defined components and designing component APIs.
- Willingness to work with a still-evolving technology stack
- Quick learner
- Adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Interest in developing cloud-based, horizontally scalable enterprise software Highly desired skills & experience
- Solid Cloud knowledge, including Kubernetes (K8s) for orchestrating containerized environments and Docker for containerization )
- Experience developing distributed, cloud-based enterprise software
