AERP: has been converting scrap tires, using cutting edge technology, into materials that are used in everything from playgrounds, roofing products and athletic tracks. Our state-of-the-art processing plant in northwest Edmonton produces a variety of high-quality rubber products from shred to rubber crumb. We are currently seeking a mechanically inclined Grinding Room Technician: to join our Maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform blade sharpening for 3 different machine types by loading, aligning, and monitoring a jig.
    • Maintain strict quality standards.
    • Perform scheduled/assigned equipment cleaning, service, and maintenance.
    • Complete Field Level Hazard Assessments and Equipment Pre-Use documents.
    • Communicate effectively and professionally with the Maintenance staff to prioritize equipment needs and repair.
    • Immediately report any concerns or issues directly to Supervisor.
    • Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
    • Perform any general labor duties as required to meet operational objectives.

Core Competencies:
    • Mechanically inclined and skilled in use of standard hand tools.
    • Experience using precise measurement tools e.g. verniers and depth gauges.
    • Quick to learn with the ability to follow instructions and seek clarity when unsure.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Organizational and time management abilities.
    • Ability to maintain professionalism and work with limited supervision.
    • Ability to multi-task and meet objectives/deliverables.
    • High standards for work, meticulous, with great attention to detail and strong analytical skills
    • Confident, resourceful, and highly motivated.
    • Possess a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

Education/Experience::
    • Minimum one (1) year of experience operating machine tools; lathes, milling machine, CNC, surface grinders… etc, ideally in a Manufacturing/Production setting
