City of Lethbridge
Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Lethbridge, AB
Contract type: Full time
Job Brief
The Program Evaluation & Reporting Specialist plays a key role by supporting grant and third-party agreement management; system planning; analyzing community investment; evaluating system & program level performance; and reporting.
The City of Lethbridge is actively committed to ensuring all individuals, families, and communities have opportunities for healthy development and social wellbeing. Our Community Social Development (CSD) team proactively works with a dedicated network of social service providers, community members, and all levels of government to enhance community health, safety, and overall wellbeing. The Program Evaluation & Reporting Specialist plays a key role by supporting grant and third-party agreement management; system planning; analyzing community investment; evaluating system & program level performance; and reporting. This requires an individual with evaluation & reporting expertise, advanced degree of political acumen, critical thinking and analytical skills.
The Role
As our Specialist, you will work with funders to identify data points that are collectible in the Information System (IS) and result in information necessary to analyze program success. We’ll rely on your seasoned experience to develop a program evaluation framework and lead the development of performance measures and benchmarks that align with funding requirements at all government levels. This will include providing training and support to funded service providers to ensure their understanding of the evaluation framework and performance indicators -- as well as data collection and quality assurance processes. Tracking performance indicators against benchmarks to suggest system improvements on an ongoing basis, will also be a component of your role. All of this will be facilitated by a track record in translating complex, technical information into understandable terms.
You will use your expertise to develop and execute operational reporting to the Governments of Canada, Alberta and Lethbridge City Council, to ensure grant compliance. As our resident systems expert, you will be responsible for our Information System (IS) administration and maintenance of all related files, records, and documents. You will also oversee data quality assessments conducted on a regular basis with contracted service providers. Supporting the community’s Integrated Coordinated Access (ICA) system and assigned research and program evaluation projects will round out your responsibilities.
Your Professional Skillset
You are respected for your commitment to community service; systems & performance evaluation expertise; and substantial reporting experience. You are known for your ability to foster collaborative relationships, and have articulate verbal and professional writing skills. Your organizational strengths and ability to remain nimble to navigate challenges and shifting priorities, will also be required.
This Will Be Supplemented By
