Reporting to the Regional Manager, Alberta the Yard Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the operations, logistics and maintenance of all rental fleet buildings and also delegate tasks and offer support and assistance to yard labourers when required. This is a full time permanent role based at our Edmonton Yard.

What You Get To Do

  • Managing the Yard Operations and maintenance of Yard and Units.
  • Ensure all out-going buildings are clean and ready for transport, Performing quality checks of units prior to loading / shipping units.
  • Detailing of Units and perform any maintenance if needed, receipt all incoming units and ensure hire inspection forms and any other admin duties are completed correctly.
  • Maintain the hire flight to a high level of readiness, carry out any fleet corrective actions as required.
  • Initiate and conduct all Health and Safety QA and toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure all subcontractors and employees working the yard are trained and safety instructions are followed.
  • Maintain and monitor generic stock levels in the yard, keep an account of tools and equipment are up to date.
  • Ensure received goods are checked and verified for the standard of quality, quantity, signed and accounted for and that all delivery dockets are issued to ATCO administration officers.
  • Participate in first aid training and act as the on-site workplace first aider and maintain knowledge as appropriate and fill in all safety forms appropriately.
  • Assist with any other operations and other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience or post-secondary education in a construction environment including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Must be safety-oriented, and a good team player with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, work well in a changing environment, and possess a sense of urgency.
  • Possess discipline towards meeting deadlines and strong personal time management
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, and create solutions
  • Able to carry out moderate to heavy lifting duties and operate equipment such as skid steer, loader & forklift.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite.
