Turner Fleischer is one of Canada’s most progressive design studios with 250+ committed, creative and driven professionals. We excel at developing client-centric concepts that are based on their needs but grounded in 50 years of experience getting projects built. Our in-house design departments include Architecture, Interior Design and Experiential Graphic Design. In addition, we have a Digital Practice Department, who commits to the implementation of BIM, research + development, and the infusion of cutting-edge technology into our projects and practice.
Who Are We Looking For
As an Intermediate Designer, you will continue to bridge creativity and technical expertise to contribute meaningfully to projects balancing aesthetics and functionality. This role will deepen your engagement with design principles and advanced software tools, positioning you to make significant contributions to innovative design solutions. It will mark a step forward in your professional development, challenging you to apply your growing knowledge and experience in varied design contexts.
What You Will Do
- Create and refine design concepts and/or development of detailed plans and construction documents leveraging BIM (Building Information Modeling) ensuring adherence to project requirements and design intent
- Prepare and/or coordinate drawings/documents primarily utilizing Revit in accordance with client specifications, budget, applicable building codes, and project timelines with the support and guidance of our team
- Maintain a good working knowledge of applicable building codes and municipal by-laws
- Attend site visits, meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and municipalities
What You Will Bring
- Degree/Diploma from an accredited institution in Architecture
- 1 - 3 years of progressively more responsible roles within Architecture firms
- Proficient experience in Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes and municipal by-laws with experience in the municipal approval process.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work in a hybrid role, with 2 days in the studio
