Certified Sales & Rentals is currently recruiting to fulfill a Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson role. This position is primarily responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, machinery, and industrial systems. The Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson works safely, completing all required safety documentation and follows proper safety procedures. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required as a condition of employment.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair underground mobile equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair remote control system
- Maintain battery powered equipment
- Repair drive train components
- Estimate and quote rebuilds and repairs
- Work with equipment, hand and power tools, lock-out/tag-out, driving, and working independently
- Communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers
- Maintain and support equipment records and repair history
- Provide data for cause and failure analysis
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Manage work and projects effectively and accurately
- Meet deadlines for commissioning and repairing equipment
- Other related duties as assigned
- Journeyperson certificate
- Familiar with hydraulics, electronics, engine and transmission diagnostics, and battery powered equipment
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Experience in mining mobile equipment and other heavy mobile equipment
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities
- Any valid safety-related training certificates would be considered an asset
- Attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to use judgment and apply discretion when making decisions
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid drivers license
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test will be required
