About The Role

The Senior Business Analyst, as a seasoned professional with extensive experience, is responsible for providing technical guidance and leadership to stakeholders while conducting full business application lifecycle analysis, including needs assessment, technology selection and implementation, process improvement, and ensuring compliance with IT General Controls, including Sarbanes Oxley 404 controls.

You'll focus on designing, configuring, building, and supporting a highly visible and complex application(s) and/or platform(s) that is essential to business productivity and continuity, and spans multiple business units. You'll proactively partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives and identifies areas where efficiency, productivity and cost could be improved using business process improvements and technology solutions.

What you will do

  • As a trusted advisor to the business, consult, partner, and collaborate closely with stakeholders and business SMEs to identify and analyze business processes and user and system requirements, and translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Lead system tests and enhancements through development, testing, and production instances and perform patching and system upgrades to applications as required.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for upgrades and advises the business on value
  • Lead implementation of complex application(s) and platform(s) that are highly visible and essential to business productivity and continuity; Ensure that upgrades, enhancements, fixes, and features are efficient and meet the needs of the business.
  • Direct the work of BAs and Application Analysts to ensure successful implementation, including deadlines, UAT, ITIL process implementation, and post-go live support models are completed
  • Provide ongoing reports and analysis to guide the business on effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of complex platforms and applications, and to develop processes and procedures for optimization and scalability.
  • Manage the applications and platforms within the assigned portfolio and ensure Kinaxis harvests value from its investment in technology, and that they are robust, healthy, current, and fulfill the needs of the business

What we are looking for

  • MS or BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience; Related certifications specific to complex platforms and applications within scope of responsibility are considered an asset
  • 5-7 years of functional/professional experience in CRM related applications, including business analysis, client consultation, project management, testing, and application support in high tech, global environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in the Salesforce ecosystem, with custom integrations. Experience in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud are preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong project management experience on a CRM application, and has experience partnering with IT Project Management team to meet business needs.
  • Exceptional ability translating high-level business requirements into functional and system requirements, and directing work of others to build solutions and complete projects
  • Experience completing business analysis, implementation, integration, configuration, and testing excellence in support of a complex platform or application; highly skilled at performing system and data integration
  • Experience designing solutions and ensuring compliance with IT General Controls including Sarbanes Oxley 404 Controls
  • Advanced knowledge of Business analysis methodologies, practices, tools, and techniques, and modern software development life cycle and software configuration management processes, practices, and techniques, including SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Cloud Solutions, and DevOps.
  • Deep understanding of changing platform features, including new releases and their impact on business processes.
  • Highly adaptable and able to pivot based on prioritization and needs of the business; proactively solicits and delivers feedback to ensure alignment.
  • Agile and resilient in managing multiple projects with multiple sources of information; regarded as the 'go-to' person for the application or platform.
  • Articulate and professionally industry skilled communicator with the ability to provide clear, concise messaging (verbal and written) to multiple audiences
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to coordinate input from multiple sources to develop impactful recommendations to achieve results for the business.
