What will your typical day look like?

As an Internal Audit consultant, you can expect to have a dynamic and exciting career that is full of challenges and opportunities to grow. Every day is different, and you will be constantly learning and expanding your skillset.

A typical day might involve meeting with clients to discuss their business and technology processes and identify areas of risk. You might then work as part of a team to execute an audit plan that addresses those risks and ensures compliance with the audit objectives. Throughout the day, you will be in constant communication with your team and clients, providing updates on your progress and discussing any issues that arise. You may also be responsible for drafting audit findings and discussing issues with management, which requires strong communication skills. You’ll hone your skills by working in a team-based environment, with plenty of on the job learning, coaching and support from more experienced team members.

Individuals with interest in controls including Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), audit methodologies, business and IT operations, IT risk, analytics and data should apply. While not mandatory for an applicant, these roles allows individuals to earn their CPA, CIA, or CISA designation requirements. Our CPA program is recognized in all provinces. In particular, our program allows CPA candidates in Quebec to obtain the “CPA Auditor” title.
