We are seeking a skilled Senior BizTalk Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and managing BizTalk solutions to meet our organization’s integration needs. This role requires close collaboration with business analysts, stakeholders, and other developers to ensure smooth and efficient integration across various systems and applications.

We are seeking a skilled Senior BizTalk Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and managing BizTalk solutions to meet our organization’s integration needs. This role requires close collaboration with business analysts, stakeholders, and other developers to ensure smooth and efficient integration across various systems and applications.
What You’ll Be Doing In The Role
- Build and implement integration solutions using Microsoft BizTalk Server to facilitate seamless communication between systems.
- Develop, configure, and maintain HL7 v2 and v3 message protocols, ensuring interoperability between healthcare applications and systems.
- Create orchestrations and automate workflows to manage complex processes and maintain data integrity.
- Conduct rigorous testing to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and reliability of HL7 integrations.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand integration requirements, evaluate system dependencies, and translate these requirements into effective integration solutions.
- Work closely with other developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure integration solutions align with overall system architecture and business goals.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for BizTalk applications, including performance tuning, monitoring, and updating integrations as needed.
- University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, a related discipline or certification in Information Technology from a recognized community college.
- Five (5) years plus of IM/IT experience.
- Demonstrated three (3) years’ experience in developing HL7 v2x interfaces with MS BizTalk Server.
- Experience developing HL7 v2x interfaces with Microsoft BizTalk 2013/2016/2020.
- Experience with Microsoft BizTalk 2013/2016/2020 outside of HL7 development.
- Demonstrated experience with engaging and working with various business unit subject matter.
- Demonstrated experience in application Integration design and implementation.
- Experience with SQL Server Queries, SOA, RESTful API and/or WCF programming.
- Experience with Microsoft programming languages such C#, .NET; XML and XSLT.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure Integration Services, specifically Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions and/or Azure API Management would be an asset.
- Experience migrating on-prem BizTalk server solutions to an iPaaS environment would be an asset.
- Experience in the public sector is an asset.
