Join our team
Within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) business unit, the TELUS NEO Wireline Engineering and PMO team is responsible for delivering the most efficient, reliable and innovative networks for our customers. Our team delivers the Inside Plant and Outside Plant designs of these networks and tracks their delivery. These networks are the foundation, which allows us to deliver new evolved services, increased bandwidth and improved reliability, setting us apart from our competitors.

As a Strategy Manager, you will support our business and our team by working with leadership on programs that will help further improve our delivery performance, cost efficiency and reliability. You will work with the leadership team in the annual development of our business strategy and the communication of our strategy to our team. You will help us set our targets and improve our performance. Your resilience, agility, and ability to thrive in an ever-changing dynamic environment will make you a perfect fit in our high performance team. This position provides the flexibility to work remotely from any location within Canada. However, it requires you to work from the office once every two weeks.

Here's How
- Work with Program leadership to develop governance and communication structure and templates
- Develop executive-level presentation material and support efforts to socialize and get buy in from senior leaders for strategic initiatives and strategy development
- Work with the team to develop business cases as required
- Conduct regular analyses of our business in order to identify additional opportunities for operational efficiency
- Build the team performance reports, track and analyze results
- Embrace agile thinking to help build and evolve processes
- Support communication of transformational information to the team through multiple channels
- Lead strategic initiatives as required, as the business evolves
You're the missing piece of the puzzle
- Valued for your 3 or more years of experience in a Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, or Research Firm setting
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision and to be proactive
- Highly developed personal planning and organizational skills; ability to effectively set priorities; negotiating, initiating, planning and organizing activities; ability to meet deliverables and work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in advanced-level English is required.
- Advanced analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills with a sharp eye for quality and detail
- Skilled in using a range of tools to collect, organize, interpret and summarize data, identifying trends and patterns to influence strategy
- Outstanding written communication and visual storytelling (presentation) skills
- Proven ability to quickly grasp complex, multi-dimensional concepts and succinctly distill them into clear and meaningful communications for any audience
- Known for your collaborative and approachable style, even in the most stressful and dynamic environments, as well as your ability to work with team members and leaders at all levels
- Demonstrated skills in project management
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications including Google Sheets and Google Slides
- Deep interest in telecommunications and technology industry
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or equivalent
- Project Management certification (PMP)
- Six Sigma Certification
- Proficiency in advanced-level French is an asset.
