YOUR MISSION

• Develop costume models and optimize existing concepts in compliance with APTO standards: Artistic, Performance, Technical and Operational;
• Create, draw and produce patterns from the artist's measurements using software;
• Perform grading and size assignment;
• Ensure the application of good costume practices with designers, senior art directors and artists;
• Work closely with various parties involved in the development and reproduction of costume items;
• Collaborate with show operations teams (Head Costume Designer) in problem-solving;
• Perform costume fittings with artists;
• Write and update technical documentation.
  
  

YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE

• DEC in fashion design, theatrical production, or equivalent;
• At least five years' experience in pattern making or costume cutting;
• Experience with pattern-making software; Optitex an asset;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and SAP
• Knowledge of different fabrics, including knit and woven, as well as cutting and tailoring methods;
• Ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances, as well as to work as part of a team and under pressure;
• An analytical mind and an interest in problem-solving;
• A collaborative, positive and motivated attitude;
• Speed of execution;
• Leadership skills;
• Willingness to travel abroad as required;
• Available to work overtime when required;
• Fluency in French and English.
