Baker Tilly Ottawa LLP is looking to fill the position of Finance Manager, who, under the direction of the Finance Partner, will primarily be responsible for the overall accounting for the firm and its related entities.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Management of four primary finance activities, namely accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
Supervision of three finance employees responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
Responsibility for firm’s internal accounting systems and processes.
Preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements for two legal entities including combined financial statements with December year ends.
Administration of employee group benefits plan.
Administration of all banking related platforms and correspondence with banking contacts.
Administration of firm’s accounts with CPA Canada and CPA Ontario.
Management of cash flow.
A successful candidate will have:
A successful candidate will have:
Comprehensive understanding of the Finance function.
Experience in the preparation of monthly and annual combined financial statements using accrual accounting.
Extensive payroll experience including knowledge of payroll regulations, taxable benefits and Employment Standards matters. Experience with ADP would be an asset.
Professional Firm experience including experience with a time and billing system.
Experience In Administering And Managing Group Benefits.
Computer skills including MS Office, and Excel. Experience Iris/Star Practice Management and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be an asset.
Professional designation is preferred.
Bilingualism is an asset.
Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
