AECOM Buildings + Places, the company's architectural business unit, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to be based out of the Halifax, Nova Scotia-area. This individual will work on Marine facilities and infrastructure such as jetties, wharfs and piers. 

  • Provides specialized technical input to Electrical studies and design of Marine facilities and infrastructure such as jetties, wharfs and piers 
  • Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
  • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepares technical specification sections.
  • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.


Minimum Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, no less than: 

  • A University Degree in Electrical Engineering + four (4) years of relevant experience in the Electrical design of Marine facilities and infrastructure, such as jetties, wharfs and piers.
  • Engineering designation (P.Eng) required. 

Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered. 

    Preferred Requirements: 

    • Must have experience in "Ship to Shore" electrical services such as power, communications, etc.


    • Company paid relocation is not available for this position.
    • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.
